Kaiyun has successfully built Haier Group's IT-based intelligent energy master control project—the largest and world-leading intelligent energy management platform in China.
With this project, we built a central control station for energy management at Haier's headquarters, and energy sub-station systems in 15 parks and 55 interconnected factories across China. By integrating computer network technology, real-time data base technology, data analysis and prediction technology, the platform can carry out centralized, flattening and dynamic monitoring and digital management over operation status of equipment involving in production, transmission, consumption, supply and utilization of energy such as electricity, water, gas and heat and keep constantly improving and optimizing energy balance. The project was awarded the UN "2019 Global Energy Management Leadership Award" (EMWG).
Through our repeated discussion and verification with customers in terms of fault tolerance and blocking logic of distribution network self-healing, the Foshan dispatching system and Foshan distribution network operation management system developed and built by Kaiyun has greatly increased the reliability and correctness of self-healing action logic and significantly improved power supply reliability. In 2018, among the 52 major cities nationwide, Foshan successful defended its championship in power supply reliability with average outage time of 2.31 hours/household and average outage frequency of 0.54 times/household.

The new-generation cloud-side cooperative distribution network master station developed with Southern Power Grid is designed to build cloud-side cooperative capability, redesign the structure of electricity distribution system based on 5G+AI technology in response to the development trend of Energy Internet of Things. Taking the advantage of its openness and leveraging data as a link, the platform integrates and empowers distributed power generation suppliers, energy service providers in parks, electricity sales service providers and electric vehicle charging service providers, and enables them to better perceive, process the massive information of electricity distribution Internet of Things and to make better decisions.
Kaiyun applies cutting-edge AI technology in power dispatch centers, unmanned substations and high-voltage transmission lines in remote areas. Facilitated with active learning, human-machine interaction and intelligent image recognition technology, AI can liberate people from repetitive, labor-intensive and high-risk labor work and make power grid regulation and operation more intelligent.
Intelligent use of energy stimulates the creativity and vitality of the energy field. As a national key R&D project (863 plan), Guangzhou Conghua Mingzhu Industrial Park, by applying industrial park comprehensive energy management system developed by Kaiyun, has successfully put in use a green shared intelligent platform where wind, solar, water and fire energy complement each other, cooling, heating and gas are supplied together, and energy flow, business flow and data flow integrate in one. As soon as the formal operation of the project, the installed capacity of renewable energy is no less than 26MW, the proportion of annual net power purchased from external power grid constitutes only 20% of the total demand or lower, and peak load is cut by over 20% through the interaction of commercial and industrial users. It is now possible to realize complementary energy system, resource comprehensive perception and other energy interconnection &sharing goals that enhance user stickiness and value creation, which adds to the charm of the Guangzhou, the City of Flowers. The technology is also successfully applied to Dongguan comprehensive energy sharing platform. In 2009, the technology was also used to have successfully declared the Southern Power Grid Lighthouse Project in 2019.
As the first Chinese enterprise that enters the Indian power industry, Kaiyun has successfully delivered more than 10 provincial power transmission and distribution projects in India, covering more than 30 large and medium-sized cities, biting the largest market share in India among similar products. On October 11, 2019, President XI Jinping made his official visit to India, as a shortlisted supplier for India's 12th Five-Year Plan and a contractor for the transmission and distribution project in Tamil Nadu, Kaiyun successfully completed its task of power supply guaranty for President Xi's visit to India.
